Uncle Jammy’s was built for the flavor-obsessed and those who are tired of mass-produced, syrup-heavy sauces and ready for real, chef-inspired heat and heart. At Uncle Jammy’s, every flavor tells a story—one rooted in persistence, creativity, and nearly two decades of flavor mischief.

From Late-Night Experiment to National Recognition

What began in 2005 as a late-night experiment in a small Pittsburgh kitchen has evolved into a full-fledged culinary brand that’s redefining what condiments can be. Founder Jamal Etienne-Harrigan (known as "Uncle Jammy" to his nieces and nephews) spent years refining recipes through burnt batches and brilliant breakthroughs.

We’ve learned that flavor isn’t just about taste—it’s about connection. Whether it’s our legendary green wing sauce, Area 51, or our award-winning rubs, every recipe is a reflection of years spent listening to our customers.

How it All Started

The Smokey City’s 412 BBQ is where Jamal brings his sauces to life in prepared dishes and festival menus. Under the 412 BBQ banner, he serves showcases at events such as the Pittsburgh Mac and Cheese Festival and regional food truck festivals. It serves to showcase how the sauces perform in real, crowd-pleasing plates.
