  • Story Behind the Sauce - This is the first sauce recipe I ever wrote from scratch, this is number one. I had made one other sauce up until that point, but it wasn’t proprietary. The whole reason I made this sauce is because a coworker (at Red Lobster) asked me to make something to put on wings and at that point in my life I had a real interest in Aliens and Roswell. I immediately knew I wanted to wow everyone with a unique sauce, that was both tasty and visually stunning. I chose to make the sauce neon green and the rest is history.

  • Story Behind the Sauce - My neighbors run a Craft Beer Subscription Box, Dennis is one of the owners and an all-around great guy and he needed something to add to his Subscription Box. I was of course happy to oblige when he asked me to make a sauce to fill that void. Dennis informed me that he was working for Southern Tier, a really nice brewery, and I loved the idea totally! Dennis being Dennis waited until the end that conversation to mention that the ship date was in 8 days and also try to escape back into his house (Finger Guns blazing). Basically Dennis had gotten me to commit to making a whole new sauce (from scratch) ready to sell in just over a week! My process takes a bit longer that (I think every human does) and I was sick for half of those 8 days and I had to go without a test batch either - somehow I managed to make it work and now we have Hooray for IPA for all!
